Warning Regarding Upgrading Your Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to SP4
Cadspec has become aware of an issue for any customers running Autodesk Vault. The issue is evident if you are running SQL Server 2005 as the database engine for Autodesk Vault Products on your server.
Do Not Upgrade Your Server SQL 2005 To SP4

On December 17th, 2010 Microsoft released Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4. This build has not been tested by Autodesk Vault's QA team and is not supported for Vault 2011 or any other previous version.
Autodesk Product Support has seen performance issues with customers after installing SQL 2005 SP4. These were resolved after upgrading to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP1 or if possible, uninstalling SQL 2005 SP4 KB970894. Currently this is the only workaround.
