The Opportunity 

We are looking for a talented and motivated Autodesk Manufacturing Application Engineer to join our growing technical team. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about Autodesk technologies, problem-solving, and customer success. The role combines technical consultancy, software development, professional training delivery, and customer engagement, supporting clients with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion, and Vault solutions. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality technical support, consultancy, automation solutions, and training that help businesses maximise productivity and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Pre & Post Sales Consultancy 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical expertise across the Autodesk Manufacturing portfolio. 
  • Provide pre-sales consultancy, technical presentations, workshops, and product demonstrations for Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and Vault. 
  • Deliver professional training courses both remotely and onsite, helping customers improve workflows and maximise software adoption. 
  • Provide post-sales consultancy and support including part modelling, assemblies, sheet metal, motion analysis, routing, and iLogic automation. 
  • Deliver telephone and remote help desk support for Autodesk products. 
  • Manage customer technical requirements and develop long-term client relationships. 
  • Support the sales and marketing teams with technical input, demonstrations, and business development opportunities. 
  • Maintain Autodesk accreditations and collaborate with Autodesk technical teams. 
  • Software & Solution Development 
  • Design and develop custom software solutions, automations, and integrations using Autodesk APIs and development frameworks. 
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. 
  • Test, troubleshoot, and optimise software solutions to ensure reliability and performance. 
  • Produce technical documentation and stay up to date with the latest Autodesk technologies and industry trends. 

About You 

Essential Skills & Experience 

  • Experience working with Autodesk software within manufacturing or engineering environments. 
  • Knowledge of programming technologies such as C#, .NET, Python, or similar. 
  • Understanding of Autodesk APIs and software customisation. 
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Confident delivering technical training and customer-facing consultancy. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. 

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies. 
  • Autodesk certifications (ACP / ACI). 
  • Previous consultancy or technical training experience.
