As your dedicated partner in solving your business and technical challenges, the Cadspec team continuously strive to offer the best service and support we can. As part of this commitment, we want to inform you of the new changes to how you purchase Autodesk software.
Here’s everything you need to know to help you navigate these changes smoothly and ensure that you continue to receive the same quality standard from our team.
Cadspec will remain your trusted partner for all training, consultancy, service and support needs, the only change is that you will now purchase your Autodesk software directly from Autodesk. The solutions and services you rely on will still be available as normal and the Cadspec team will continue to provide trusted advice on software quotations, license requests, and offer fast, personal technical support whenever you need it.
Direct Purchase from Autodesk
From September 16th, 2024, customers will purchase Autodesk software directly from Autodesk. Some specific products and government agencies will be excluded from this change and will continue as normal. Payments will be made directly to Autodesk through credit, debit, PayPal, bank transfer, or via 30-day payment terms if you qualify.
Maintained Partnership
Cadspec will continue to support your business as before. The only difference is that the final purchase order will be placed directly with Autodesk. We’ll still be here for support, training, quote requests, and all other day-to-day aspects.
Quoting and Configuration
Cadspec will advise on the best purchase options based on Autodesk’s pricing. You’ll receive the quotation from Autodesk via email, and the order will be placed directly with Autodesk after approval.
Purchasing Before September 16th
You will renew or purchase new licenses as usual until September 16th. If your renewal is between September 16th and 90 days after, renew before the change date to use the current process and prices. For renewals more than 90 days after the switch date, contact your account manager for the best options. We recommend renewing for three years to secure current pricing and minimize disruption.
Purchasing After September 16th
All purchases (excluding exceptions) will be made through the new buying process with Autodesk. Cadspec will continue to provide support on software purchases, support, and services.
If you have any specific requirements please contact us for advice and guidance.
To ensure a smooth invoicing process, we recommend setting up Autodesk as a vendor in your procurement systems, the Cadspec team can assist with this process. Detailed information on setting up Autodesk as a vendor can be found HERE.
The Cadspec team will continue to keep you updated in the run-up to, and throughout this change with more information. However if you have any questions or require further assistance, the team are here to help.
