What We Showcased at Smart Manufacturing Week 2026: From Digital Engineering to Additive Manufacturing

For us at Cadspec, this time of year is always one of the busiest and most rewarding. It’s an opportunity to step away from our desks, connect with customers old and new, and take part in the industry events that bring the manufacturing community together.

Earlier this month, we exhibited at Smart Manufacturing Week 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, joining manufacturers, engineers and technology leaders from across the UK to share ideas, explore emerging technologies and discuss the future of digital manufacturing. Co-located alongside our sister company, Tri-Tech 3D, we spent two busy days demonstrating how connected digital solutions can help manufacturers improve efficiency, strengthen collaboration and streamline workflows from design through to production.

Showcasing the best of Digital Engineering and CAD/CAM Solutions

In 2026 we wanted to bring something different, not only did we demonstrate solutions from Autodesk, SketchUp and Unity, but at this year’s show, we were excited to highlight how digital engineering tools are helping manufacturers work smarter and make better use of their data.

Our technical team delivered live demonstrations across both days, giving visitors the opportunity to explore practical applications for design automation, visualisation, digital twins and immersive engineering experiences.

The Unity demonstrations proved particularly popular, generating conversations around how manufacturers can improve communication, project understanding and decision-making through interactive digital environments.

Connecting Design and Additive Manufacturing

Alongside our software and consultancy services, Tri-Tech 3D showcased the Stratasys Origin Two, demonstrating a complete workflow from digital design through to the additive manufacture of end-use parts. Together, we prove how connected technologies can support the entire manufacturing process, helping businesses move more efficiently from concept and design into production.

Great Conversations Across the Manufacturing Industry

The exhibition halls were buzzing throughout the event, and it was fantastic to meet so many organisations exploring digital transformation, automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

We had valuable conversations with manufacturers looking to improve productivity, reduce inefficiencies and build more connected workflows. It was encouraging to see such strong interest in practical solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Thank You for Visiting Us

Thank you to everyone who visited us and took the time to speak with our team.

At Cadspec, we help manufacturers improve how they operate by combining real industry experience with the right digital technologies. Whether you’re looking to optimise your CAD/CAM processes, improve collaboration, adopt digital engineering tools or explore manufacturing automation, we’re here to help.

If we didn’t get the chance to meet you at Smart Manufacturing Week 2026, we’d be delighted to continue the conversation and discuss how we can support your manufacturing goals.
