This new technology from Autodesk is available in Autodesk products and native to its Design and Make Platform, Autodesk AI provides intelligent assistance and generative capabilities that allow customers to imagine and explore freely while producing precise, accurate, and innovative results.

Andrew Anagnost, President and Chief Executive Officer, Autodesk commented:

Autodesk AI is the assistant that lowers the learning curve for designers and engineers, supercharges their productivity, and accelerates innovation

Few technologies hold as much potential as AI. With experts who have been researching at the forefront of AI for many years, Autodesk is uniquely positioned to continue advancing development of AI for design and make. To date, Autodesk’s AI Lab has published more than 60 peer-reviewed research papers advancing the state of the art in AI and generative AI.

How does it work? 🧠

Whether in constructing new buildings and highways, manufacturing products and smart devices, or creating compelling media and entertainment, Autodesk AI is helping customers meet the moment – not just by increasing productivity, but by giving them the tools to be more ambitious and creative.

Why now introduce AI? 💭

In the highly anticipated 2024 State of Design and Make special report on Artificial Intelligence (AI), a staggering 77% of the surveyed companies express their strategic intent to augment or substantially escalate their investments in AI over the forthcoming three years. This resounding commitment underscores the burgeoning recognition among businesses of the transformative potential embedded within AI technologies.

Among the cadre of industry leaders who participated in the survey, an impressive 66% are in consensus that within the relatively short span of two to three years, AI will evolve from being a valuable asset to an indispensable cornerstone of their operational frameworks. This collective foresight highlights a profound shift in the perception of AI, signalling its trajectory from a supplementary tool to a core driver of innovation and competitiveness.

The heightened enthusiasm surrounding AI investment is a testament to the growing realisation that harnessing the power of artificial intelligence is not merely an option but a strategic imperative for organisations looking to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and competitive landscape. As businesses gear up to navigate the evolving technological terrain, it is clear that AI is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future trajectory of industries across the spectrum.

Raji Arasu, Chief Technology Officer, Autodesk commented:

Autodesk AI will continue to surface across the Autodesk platform–both in our existing products and our industry clouds–to enable better ways of designing and making. With a commitment to security and ethical AI practices, we’re focused on delivering responsible AI solutions that address our customers’ needs.

Today, Autodesk AI is available across the Autodesk portfolio, with new capabilities in constant development. Autodesk AI augments creative exploration and problem-solving; automates repetitive tasks to minimise errors and free up time; and analyses complex project data to offer predictive insights.
