What is AutoCAD Electrical training?

AutoCAD Electrical is Autodesk’s intelligent 2D electrical design toolset for creating project-wide schematics and panel layouts with automation built in. On this hands-on course you’ll follow a complete workflow: projects and standards, intelligent symbols, wires and tagging, PLC I/O, terminals and panels, through to reports your manufacturing team can trust. We focus on the features that make the biggest impact day-to-day – 65,000+ symbols, automatic wire numbering and component tagging, project-wide updates and real-time error checking – so drawings stay accurate as they grow.

What are the benefits of AutoCAD Electrical training?

  • Fewer errors, cleaner projects. Real-time checks flag duplicate tags and wire numbers; audits and exception reports keep the entire project tidy.
  • Consistent, standards-based drawings. Work with built-in symbol libraries aligned to IEC-60617 / NFPA / IEEE 315/315A, so teams and suppliers read the same language.
  • Automation that saves hours. Auto-number wires, tag components, cross-reference parents and children, and regenerate custom reports in a click.
  • PLC made simple. Generate PLC I/O schematics from spreadsheets and update as data changes.
  • Panel and terminal outputs that match production. Create terminal plans and panel footprints that stay in sync with the schematics.

How can I tailor my AutoCAD Electrical training?

This course suits designers, technicians and panel builders moving from plain AutoCAD or another ECAD. Familiarity with AutoCAD basics is recommended. Choose virtual classroom, in-centre or on-site delivery. You can speak to one of our consultants to discuss a bespoke course- Pricing is on enquiry. All training includes materials and an Autodesk-authorised certificate of completion.
