This course focuses on teaching the core principles of parametric design in Autodesk Fusion 360. It gives participants hands-on experience in creating, editing, and managing 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings within a modern, cloud-based CAD environment.
Participants will start with Fusion 360 fundamentals and progress through sketch creation, features like sweeps and lofts, construction and pick-and-place tools, parameters and equations, T-spline modelling, and multi-body workflows. The course also covers drawing creation, assembly modelling, and preparing designs for 3D printing, with a strong emphasis on real-world, project-based learning.
The course is ideal for new users of Fusion 360, including students, product designers, and engineers. No prior CAD experience is required, though a background in mechanical design, engineering, or drafting is recommended.
To equip learners with the practical skills and design logic needed to confidently use Fusion 360 for part modelling, assemblies, and detailed drawings, supporting both digital prototyping and manufacturing output.
