Is Autodesk Inventor the same as AutoCAD?

The two platforms have common features, but parametric Inventor has different terminology and workflows that can make the transition a little challenging if you have a background in object-based AutoCAD. To answer another common query, be aware that Inventor CAM is only available as part of Inventor with the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection (PDMC): you don’t get Inventor CAM with standard standalone Inventor.
