Did you know that you could receive up to £10,000 up front per annum from CITB towards your training with Cadspec? As a CITB Approved Organisation (ATO) we can provide a range of training courses for you and your business!
Below we have covered some of our most frequently asked questions about this fantastic skills and funding training.
Who are CITB and what do they do?
CITB are The Construction Industry Training Board and their mission is to attract and support the development of people to construct a better Britain.
How big does the company or business have to be to get the funding?
To be eligible for the skills & training grant they need to have between 1 & 99 PAYE direct employees.
Are there specific training courses that I have to register for, or can I do any?
The training course must be of relevance to your industry e.g Revit Essential Skills, Infraworks etc. If you need further info on courses that are applicable for this funding, please speak to your account manager at Cadspec.
Do I have to be registered with the CITB?
Yes, under the Industrial Training Act 1982 and consequent Levy Orders, CITB must raise a levy assessment on all employers ‘engaged wholly or mainly in construction industry activities'. In other words, when construction takes up more than half of your total employees’ time (including sub-contractors) you need to register your business with CITB and complete a Levy Return so that CITB can carry out a levy assessment.
Do I have to fill out reams of paperwork?
We have attached the PDF form that you will need to fill out at the bottom of this page.
Can I get guidance with the paperwork, as I want to make sure I can secure the funding?
Both your Cadspec account manager or your regional CITB advisors will be happy to help.
Is this available all over the UK and Ireland or just limited to a certain region?
What are the actual chances of me applying and getting the funding?
Very high! CITB are encouraging companies to use this grant and for the ATO’s to promote.
Can the training be carried out at my site?
Yes, we are able to offer training on-site or alternatively at one of our dedicated Autodesk approved training centres.
When is this funding available till?
Funding availability is ongoing and can be applied for annually.
Who do I contact to find out more about this funding?
Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you in touch with your local account manager.
