Hydro International operates in the water and wastewater sector and the stormwater sector for the construction industry and offers an enhanced coverage of treatment solutions to the municipal sector. Hydro has developed a range of advanced vortex and complimentary technologies using Autodesk Inventor to provide an economical solution to control the quantity and improve the quality of water.
Many of Hydro's products are sized and manufactured according to each project's bespoke requirements which meant designing from scratch each time. Inventor in conjunction with Excel and Vault reduces the need for this by modfiying existing designs.
Inventor was a natural step on from AutoCAD as Hydro interface with civil structures all the time. Using Inventor they are able to put together a series of models which can be used for sales presentations and also as 3D visualisations to show clients.
"Many of the projects are large, hidden from view or buried deep underground so you can't actually see them using just photographs. It's vital to communicate clearly to clients how a product will work and the only way to do this is via these 3D visual models."
Andy Nancolis, Group Product Engineer, Hydro International
